Project Description
The collaboration with NIKE involved the creation of a 9m-long illustrative story on the wall of HOPE Alkazar's wall, by doing a unique spatial drawing performance for 3 days in a row.
The illustrative narrative tells the story about Istanbul's everyday life and its relation to sports, particularly the sense of togetherness and collective achievement that comes with participating in sports. The artwork depicted various scenes of everyday life in Istanbul, such as people playing basketball in the streets, families cycling together, and groups of friends playing soccer in the park. Through this artwork, Piknik aimed to highlight the significance of sports in bringing people together and fostering a sense of community. The artwork's vivid and colorful illustrations were a testament to the group's creative talents and their ability to convey complex ideas through visual storytelling. This collaboration between Piknik and NIKE showcased the power of art and sports in promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
